Shoe Advice and Prescription

Optimising your footwear for all activities

Shoes are commonly a causative factor to injuries and discomfort that should be addressed to allow healing and rehabilitation. We understand the importance of not only the shoes for your sport (running, cycling, golf, football, basketball etc) but also your work and daily shoes that you spend the majority of your time in.

Shoe Selection With Us

To help you, we assess and manage factors specific to your injury, your goals, your ability, and your conditioning. Before investing in a pair of shoes that are not the most appropriate for your foot type or function, we recommend consulting a podiatrist. Your podiatrist will assess your foot function with clinical tests and perform a video gait analysis. This allows a detailed, precise assessment of your biomechanics and footwear needs.

Common footwear types:

  • Work Shoes (teachers, retail, office professionals, nurses)
  • School Shoes (for all ages)
  • Running Shoes (all distances, surfaces and intensities)
  • Sports Shoes (basketball, soccer, badminton, golf)
  • Walking Shoes (travel, exercise, daily walking)
  • At Home (e.g indoor slippers)
